On International Women's Day, March 8th, The Shade Tree will host its Champagne & Pearls event at Emerald at Queensridge from 10:30AM to 1:30PM. The Shade Tree is a 24-hour emergency shelter that helps victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, and homelessness.
The event will honor the achievements of women in Southern Nevada and will feature a panel discussion focused on empowerment, education, and women's rights.
Journalist Patranya Bhoolsuwan will host and moderate the panel, which includes Dr. Jessica Zarndt, physician for the Las Vegas Raiders; Ericka Aviles, founder of Latinas in Power; and Kim Small, CEO of Signs of HOPE.
Linda Perez, CEO of The Shade Tree, will open the event with remarks. Guests can also shop from local female artisans. Tickets are $175 each or $1,500 for a table of ten, with all proceeds benefiting The Shade Tree's work to support women and children in need.
