Over the big game weekend, a local non-profit held a city-wide search to locate missing children.
Nevada Child Seekers held their annual "Super Search" this weekend, with dozens of volunteers casing the streets and handing out fliers with pictures and information of missing kids.
"Our volunteers saturate the city with missing child fliers, with the hope tips from the public will be the missing puzzle piece to cases that have come home," said Margarita Edwards, executive director at Nevada Child Seekers. "It's going to take all of us working together to bring our missing children home."
Robin Mullins with Red Rock Search and Rescue was one of the volunteers on Saturday.
"There's still a couple hundred people coming to Vegas to watch the big game in whatever environment, and that's when these kids are even more vulnerable," said Robin. "It means a lot to get their faces out there and not just say, 'Hey, go visit a website.' These are the vulnerable kids who need our help."
According to Nevada Child Seekers, more than 8,000 children are reported missing in Nevada each year.
But the annual Super Search has made a real difference in locating these children, as their 2023 search led to 21 missing children being rescued.
