The City of North Las Vegas will celebrate the opening of its NEW Fire Station with a community barbecue on Saturday, November 16th! Fire Station 58 plans to begin their operations on the following Monday, November 18th.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday, November 16th
Address: 960 E. Deer Springs Way
Time: 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Ribbon Cutting: 12:00 p.m.
Fire Chief Joseph Calhoun emphasized the significance of the new station: "North Las Vegas is growing very quickly, and we're so actively working on that right now to make sure we're properly providing services."
According to their press statement, the City of North Las Vegas presented Fire Station 58 as a 14,000 square foot facility designed to serve over 30,000 residents of the Tule Springs Community! The station will be fully equipped with 11 private dorm rooms, a gym, a community lounge that can host meetings and activities, and a commercial range kitchen.
As the fastest-growing city in Nevada, now has a population of over 300,000 residents. Fire Station 58 will be the 9th station in the city to serve the community.
Joseph Calhoun highlights how this isn't just a fire station but also an active home for its firefighters. With this being their home away from home, it is easily justified to make the station a comfortable place for them to serve their 48-hour shifts!
Fire Station 58 will contain a ladder truck, a rescue unit, and a Battalion 15 command. The mayor of North Las Vegas, Pamela Goynes-Brown noted that the new Fire Station aligns with the city's Strategic Plan as it focuses on public safety and building community partners.
Join the celebration on November 16th, 2024, for their opening Community BBQ from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Fire Station 58! The ribbon cutting will be at NOON and tours will be available to see the brand-new facility!
