SSOTD: American Heart Association Recognizes Henderson Fire Department

The Henderson Fire Department received the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold achievement award.

The award is given to agencies that give quality and rapid care to patients with high-risk, time-sensitive diseases such as heart attacks and strokes. The Henderson Fire Department was recognized for their dedication to provide patients who had severe heart attacks and strokes with quick, evidence-based care; therefore, saving many lives.

Henderson Fire Chief, Shawn White, said, "I'm extremely proud of our crews who contribute daily to our department's national emergency medical service reputation."

They are also the first pre-hospital provider in Southern Nevada to be recognized in the American Heart Association's Heart Attack Honor Roll.
