Sandra is headed to the Super Bowl!

On Tuesday, the Las Vegas Raiders surprised a Special Olympics Nevada athlete with tickets to Super Bowl LVII. Sandra and her mother were presented with two tickets to the Super Bowl, roundtrip airfare, and a two-night hotel stay in Arizona.

This surprise was made possible by the Raiders 2022 Walter Payton Man of the Year AJ Cole, who's been a longtime supporter of Special Olympics Nevada. The Raiders say he "has a special place in his heart for athletes who face the added challenge of dealing with intellectual disabilities." AJ offered his congratulations in a video for Sandra, who happens to be a huge fan of AJ's.

Sandra has been involved with Special Olympics Nevada since 2016, serving as an Athlete Leader. She also competed in track and field at the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle. Sandra shares how Special Olympics Nevada has changed her life, "I've made lots of friends and met new people." She says her favorite sport is basketball, but she also enjoys bowling, golf and flag football.

Congratulations Sandra!
