The Smith Center will have 'A Christmas Carol' for the holidays

"Winner of Five Tony Awards!

This timeless – and timely – tale of isolation and redemption welcomes theatergoers into an immersive experience that is brimming with Christmas spirit. The production features dazzling staging, moving storytelling, and 12 of the most cherished Christmas carols, including “Joy to the World,” “Silent Night,” and “It Came Upon the Midnight Clear.” Featuring three-time Emmy winner, Bradley Whitford (“The Handmaid’s Tale,” “The West Wing,” “Get Out,” “The Post”) who will play the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in this magical new interpretation of Charles Dickens’ timeless story. Rounding out the cast will be Tony and Emmy Award nominee Kate Burton (“Hedda Gabler,” “The Elephant Man,” “Scandal,” “Grey’s Anatomy”) playing the role of the Ghost of Christmas Past and Grammy and SAG Award nominee Alex Newell (“Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist,” “Empire,” “Glee,” “Once on This Island”) as the Ghost of Christmas Present/Mrs. Fezziwig.
