Vegas Golden Knights Fan Pays It Forward To First Responders

As the Vegas Golden Knights head back to Las Vegas after their disappointing loss to the San Jose Sharks last night, we have an inspiring story to share and remind us what this team and its fans are all about.

Hockey fans Roxy Harbourne and his wife, Donna Strating, bought 2 tickets for 10 games during the team's inaugural season.  Sadly, Donna passed away in December.

Through his loss, Harbourne attended 4 games with the tickets that had been purchased. During a game, he was touched by how first responders from 1 October were honored and decided to pay it forward and give away his extra ticket.  At first he had a few fruitless attempts to reach out and give the ticket to a first responder.  However, through a series of events, he eventually connected with Officer Keith Twigger and the two went to the first playoff game here in Las Vegas together.

You can read the entire inspiring story here, on the NHL's website.

The Vegas Golden Knights are back in Las Vegas for Game 5 tomorrow night at 7pm at T-Mobile Arena.
