Autism Coalition of Nevada held a free event to educate first responders on recognizing the signs of someone on the autism spectrum. In some situations, these signs can be misunderstood as insubordination or noncompliance. The training aimed to help first responders better identify these behaviors, reducing the risk of unnecessary arrests.
