The Alzheimer's Foundation of America is hosting a conference in Las Vegas on April 15th, from 10am to 1pm to educate the community on the realities of living with Alzheimer's and caring for those affected. Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. emphasizes that knowledge is crucial when navigating how to care for a loved one, and that one of the best things we can do is educate ourselves on brain health. Dr. Dylan Wint will speak about symptoms of Alzheimer's, how they occur, and how they change over time. Dr. Lucille Carriere will also share her knowledge on how caregivers can best support individuals with dementia, especially when they may experience behaviors such as agitation, sundowning, or wandering, and how to remain calm and create a comfortable environment for both people. The Conference will also feature the founders of Dangle & Dot, offering a unique perspective from both someone living with dementia, and a caregiver, giving attendees a better understanding of the experience from both sides.
