STEM jobs (science, technology, engineering, math) are on the rise here in Nevada and within the rest of the United States by 14% according to Nevada STEM Hub.

The #GirlsinSTEM and #GirlsinTech initiative, a local program in the Clark County School District, is trying to help fill that need.

The initiative has gathered 50 girls from within the school district to listen to experts explain their careers, do hands-on activities and watch the 3D space exploration film "Touch The Stars"

There will be approximately 2,000 female students attending this field trip within the next few months. The future is bright for Nevada.
