Smoked Burgers & BBQ at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace has selected Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) as their October beneficiary for their inaugural celebrity burger charity program. Partnering with longtime AFAN supporters Penn & Teller, a portion of the proceeds from each Penn & Teller veggie burger will go back to AFAN to benefit those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Penn Jillette will join AFAN at Smoked Burgers & BBQ for a burger launch party on Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 4-5:30 p.m. Music will be provided by DJ Axis as Jillette tries his namesake burger for the first time.
"Try being a Vegas vegan for one burger," said Jillette. "Help your health, the planet and, in this case, help others who need some help. How many times do you get to eat a burger and do good? Well, as many times as you can get over to Smoked Burgers & BBQ and help support AFAN!"
The Penn & Teller veggie burger is made with a Beyond Meat burger patty, tomato, onion, cheddar cheese, and Smoked Burgers & BBQ signature smoked sauce on a brioche bun, and served with mesquite or sweet potato fries. The burger is priced at $18 and is available throughout the entire month of October.
