Nevada Women’s Cultural Resource Project

"Power To The Polls" Voter Registration Tour Launched In Las Vegas On Anniversary Of Women's March

The Nevada Historic Preservation Office announced last week Thursday that it was awarded a grant to launch the “Nevada Women’s Cultural Resource Project”.

The Project aims to spotlight women's contributions, achievements, and rights through the history of Nevada.

2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment and Nevada is the only state to receive grant funding specifically designated to honor women in history and the contributions they made in the Silver State.

“We are excited to embark on this creative journey to preserve women’s history in Nevada while engaging our communities and visitors from all over the world in discovering the important roles that women have played in the Silver State,” said Rebecca Palmer, Administrator of the Nevada State Historic Preservation Office.
