If you know Sunny 106.5 then you know we love our first responders!
So hows this for a Sunny Story of The Day:
On March 24, Trooper Jacob Fisher responded to a call about a pickup truck that crashed into a median on I-215 near the Airport Connector.
When Fisher arrived he found bystanders performing chest compressions on the driver, at which point he immediately took over medical care and compressions. His body camera captured him reassuring the driver, who was in obvious distress.
Clark County firefighters arrived on scene and transported the driver to Sunrise Trauma. When following up on the driver NHP found out that he survived and was released from the hospital after just three days.
Fisher is an Army veteran who is trained in combat medicine and has been with the highway patrol for five years.
