Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen announced Friday that the state of Nevada will receive more than $3.7 million in a federal grant to combat opioid addiction. The grant comes from The Department of Health and Human Services' State Opioid Response program, the money would expand access to state programs that aim to prevent abuse and provide treatment.
"Protecting the health and well-being of Nevadans will always be our number one priority, and we’re thankful for HHS’s partnership as we fight to deliver quality opioid abuse treatment and recovery options to Nevadans in need," Sens. Cortez Masto and Rosen said in a joint statement.
