This past Monday, the DMV started using a new tech company to manage its appointments in hopes of reducing wait times to zero and creating faster experiences for residents across the state.
Offices in Reno and Carson City will be the first to use the new system after the previous system was taken down at the end of 2018.
"The reason we started up north was to make sure the system is fine-tuned and running smoothly before we brought it down here, because the offices in Las Vegas are much busier, so we want to make sure we get it right before we bring it down here," said DMV spokesman Kevin Malone.
The Las Vegas rollout is slated to launch on March 25.
The new appointment system is easy to navigate from the DMV's homepage.
