This past June 9-month old Wyatt and his parents were in their car travelling in the northwest valley near Brett Lane and N El Capitan when they were t boned by another car. Off duty firefighter Eric Murphy rushed outside after hearing the crash only to find baby Wyatt on the ground and immediately applied his training to stabilize Wyatt until emergency services arrived. Wyatt and his mother, who was driving, were both rushed to UMC Trauma. Wyatt was in a coma till June 26th and has been in and out of the hospital ever since even spending his 1st birthday in the hospital.
Since the incident the local community has come together to provide support through fundraisers and have already raised $20,500 on the #FightWyattFight GoFundMe page. Baby Wyatt can use all the help he can get in his fight for recovery, due to the crash he suffered severe spinal injuries and a paralyzed diaphragm which has resulted in his trouble breathing.
