DUNKIRK, Rated PG-13

Marco's Take

I had never heard this story in history class growing up, so it was new to me and the intensity kept me stressed out for these guys throughout most of the movie.  Pretty good debut for that guy from One Direction!

8/10

Christian's Take

This was absolutely mesmerizing. It's intense, it's smart, and it has the great Christopher Nolan comfortably in the driver's seat. This is an example of a modern masterpiece.

10/10

VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS

Marco's Take

The special effects are really good and even though I didn't really get most of the movie, it was enough for me to be entertained.  It was really long and it felt that way, but I'm easily won over by how cool it looks!

7/10

Christian's Take

Valerian is undoubtedly a creative film, but it isn't quite as fun to watch as it is to look at. Though there are a few good scenes, it drags on and the acting is at times miserable. It's a good thing it's pretty.

4/10
