UNLV Cares Food Pantry Affected By Pandemic, Starts Crowdsourcing Campaign

The UNLV Cares Food Pantry needs your help! The food pantry, which services students, staff, and faculty who need extra help, has been hit hard. Job losses and furloughs created a higher demand on the pantry, which usually hands out around 60 bags of groceries during the week (before the economic impact of the pandemic).

The shelves are typically stocked with non-perishable items like rice, beans, pasta, etc. You can read more about this program and the help they need at unlv.edu.

A new crowdsourcing campaign is hoping to keep the pantry open and help those in need. The Rebel Raiser campaign can be found at rebelraiser.unlv.edu. Due to the health and sanitation issues from COVID-19, they are currently unable to accept food items, so any monetary donation you are able to make is appreciated.
