A raccoon got stuck on the UBS building in St. Paul, Minnesota, yesterday morning and decided that the only way out of the situation was to scale the skyscraper! During the day, the raccoon made it all the way to the 23rd floor and even stopped to take a nap on a window ledge more than 200 feet off the ground. Animal control officials placed traps and food on the roof in hopes of luring the animal to safety. But by nightfall, the raccoon appeared to be stuck and decided to climb back down. After returning briefly to the 17th floor at about 3 a.m. EST, the raccoon tried again and was able to scale the building and reach the roof before 4 a.m. EST.
Many people were so invested by then that they stayed awake to keep tabs on the raccoon, with one saying, "Climbed a 23+ story wall without food or water for 24 hours. You cannot help but be impressed." I agree! What a crazy raccoon!
