Over the weekend, the Las Vegas Desert Dogs hosted 'Tucker Out Lymphoma Night.'

While playing against the Rochester Knigthawks at Michelob ULTRA Arena, the newly established lacrosse team hosted their inaugural lymphoma night.

'Tucker Out Lymphoma Night' honors the life of Tucker Williams, son of head coach and general manager, Shawn Williams. In 2014, Tucker unfortunately passed away from Burkitt's Lymphoma.

"We want to do our part as a team to continue to raise awareness for childhood cancer and help other families who have children battling this disease," says Shawn Williams, "As emotional as these games always are playing and coaching in Tucker's memory, I'm looking forward to sharing this night with our fans. Las Vegas has embraced us with open arms since we arrived, and I know they will embrace Tucker Out Lymphoma Night as well."

The players wore custom jerseys featuring the color of lymphoma awareness, lime green. The jerseys were also available for auction, where the bidding started at $151.51, a tribute to Tucker's #51 lacrosse number. While the jerseys are no longer up for auction, you can still make a donation in Tucker's name to organizations that benefit childhood cancer research.
