This four-legged officer is ready for duty!

Turbo, a rescue dog from The Animal Foundation, was recently celebrated for graduating a firearm detection training program. He will be working at Caesars Entertainment, assisting with security at all nine properties.

The Animal Foundation found Turbo abandoned last year. Around the same time, Caesars Entertainment reached out looking for suitable dogs to take part in their firearm detection training program, and Turbo was a perfect fit. "We try to provide enrichment, different outlets for them. But we can't provide them this intense training like they can do with Caesars," says Kaleigh O'Neill, animal welfare manager at The Animal Foundation. "The fact we can get him to a program like this, get his brain working" she explains, "It's a real started from the bottom now we're here story."

Aaron Gomez, K9 handler for Caesars Entertainment says the training is rigorous. "They're pretty selective. They look for a certain amount of drive" says Gomez, "Once that's indicated they they say ok, this dog would be a good candidate for explosive or firearms training." Turbo is the second rescue dog to graduate from the training program, along with a German Shepherd named Chase who graduated from the program in November.
