Tate McRae's debut album i used to think i could fly is finally here but it turns out fans could have had it sooner than Friday, May 27. The singer posted a TikTok late last week that revealed she delayed the album's release date so she could fully take in Harry Styles' third album Harry's House, which was released on May 20.

The now-viral TikTok shows a man with a sign that's been edited to read "i moved my album a week later so i could fully enjoy Harry Styles album this week." She doubled down in the caption adding, "not even kidding ask my label." The video has amassed millions of views and thousands of likes. Fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts. While some thought the move was rather iconic, others were a bit frustrated that they were made to wait longer for the singer's highly-anticipated album. "You better be joking tate," one fan wrote.

Luckily, the wait is over and fans can now fully enjoy both Styles and McRae's new music! i used to think i could fly features 13 tracks including previously released singles "Feel Like S--t," "She's All I Wanna Be," "Chaotic," and "What Would You Do?" The singer's musical offerings have received positive reviews with The Independent's Roisin O'Conner writing that McRae emulates "the hard-hitting lyrical truths of her Gen-Z peers, Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo," and she "sings like she's falling apart, but the quality of the album suggests she's got it together."

McRae will embark on a summer tour in support of the album. The dates will kick off in Las Vegas on June 1. Click here for tour dates and tickets. And be sure to check out the new album here.
