Iowa man, John Reichart, spreads holiday cheer throughout his small town in celebration of his wife.
John Reichart and his wife, Joan, got engaged 54 years ago on Christmas Eve. Christmas has always held a special place in their hearts.
Four years ago, Joan sadly was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. This year, John started the tradition to decorate their entire neighborhood to bring her joy.
John convinced all 18 homeowners in their neighborhood to put up Christmas decorations. He helped them set up Christmas trees in their yard as well as Christmas twinkling lights, snowmen, and soldiers.
John said that all the time and effort was worth it to see Joan happy. Thanks to John, his community is closer than ever.
